What website management actually covers
Website management is the routine work that keeps a site online, secure and accurate after launch. Most owners only notice it when something breaks: the contact form stops sending, an SSL certificate expires, a plugin update takes the site down or a price on the homepage is a year out of date.
Our care plans cover that routine work in one monthly fee, so a named team is responsible for it instead of nobody.
- Managed hosting and SSL, or Shopify platform and domain checks
- Backup setup and restoration support, where the platform allows it
- Security and uptime monitoring
- Routine technical maintenance, or Shopify theme and app health checks
- A monthly contact-form or storefront check, so enquiries are not silently lost
- Small text, image or product edits that you send us
Choosing a plan: Basic Care, Website Care or Growth Care
Basic Care is €49/month. It suits a simple brochure site or a standard Shopify store that mainly needs to stay safe and online. It includes up to 30 minutes of supplied edits each month and email support with a three-business-day target.
Website Care is €99/month and is the plan we recommend for most small businesses. It adds a monthly check of key links, the contact form and, where relevant, the Shopify checkout, plus a performance and website-health check, a short monthly summary, up to 60 minutes of edits and a two-business-day email target.
Growth Care is €249/month for a site that has to convert. Each month we work through one prioritised improvement sprint, such as a landing page, a form, mobile layout, speed, a collection or tracking, within up to 3 hours of total time. It also includes a written summary of what changed, a quarterly conversion review with a 30-minute call and a one-business-day priority email target.
Shopify and WordPress sites are managed differently
On Shopify, the platform looks after hosting, security patches and checkout infrastructure. Management there means watching what you control: the theme, installed apps, domain settings, product data and whether checkout still works after an app or theme change.
On WordPress and similar sites, more of the technical load sits with the site itself: hosting, core and plugin updates, backups and security. That is where routine maintenance saves the most trouble, because an unmanaged plugin is the usual way a small business site gets compromised or broken.
Platform subscriptions, paid themes, apps and plugins are separate costs. We tell you what a site needs before you commit to it.
What is not included and gets quoted separately
A care plan is maintenance and small changes, not a build. The monthly editing time does not roll over, so unused minutes in one month are not carried into the next.
These are quoted separately, and we give you the price before any work starts:
- New pages, redesigns and copywriting
- Custom features and custom development
- Faults caused by third-party services or apps
- SEO and content production, which sit outside Growth Care
Sites we did not build
Basic Care covers one website or standard Shopify store that we build or approve. For a site built by someone else, we start with an onboarding check: who controls the domain, where it is hosted, what platform and plugins it runs, whether backups exist and whether the contact form actually delivers.
If the site is in good shape, we take it on under the plan that fits. If it needs fixing first, such as an outdated theme or abandoned plugins, we quote that work separately and explain why before you decide. This is common with sites left behind by a former developer.
How website management supports SEO
Search visibility depends on a site that stays healthy. A page that returns an error, a form that fails, a slow template or a broken internal link can quietly cost enquiries long before anyone looks at rankings.
Our monthly checks catch the basics: key links that no longer work, performance problems and pages that have dropped out of Google. Website Care and Growth Care include a performance and website-health check. Ongoing search work such as keyword targeting and new content is a different service, handled through managed SEO.
Website management for businesses across Ireland
We look after websites for businesses in Dublin, Cork, Kildare, Galway, Limerick, Meath, Wicklow, Louth and Waterford. A site in Dublin and a site in Cork need the same routine care, so location does not change how the service works.
Our base is Naas, County Kildare, but nearly all of the work is done online. Clients work with us by email and do not need an UpSearch account.

Do you manage websites you did not build?
Often, yes, after an onboarding check of the domain, hosting, platform, plugins, backups and contact form. Basic Care covers a site we build or approve, so the check tells us whether we can take it on as it is or whether some fixes need to be quoted first.
Is there a contract?
Care plans are priced per month. We confirm the terms in writing before the first month starts, so ask for them when you enquire and you can decide with the details in front of you.
What happens to unused editing minutes?
They do not roll over. Each month starts fresh with the allowance for your plan: 30 minutes on Basic Care, 60 minutes on Website Care, and up to 3 hours of improvement time on Growth Care.
How quickly will you respond?
These are email response targets, not guarantees: three business days on Basic Care, two business days on Website Care and one business day with priority handling on Growth Care.
Do I need an UpSearch account?
No. Clients work with us by email. Send us the text, images or product details you want changed and we do the work.
Can you manage my Shopify store as well as a WordPress site?
Yes. Plans cover a standard Shopify store with platform, domain, theme and app checks, as well as conventional websites with hosting, SSL, backups and routine maintenance.
Does website management include SEO?
Not as ongoing SEO work. The monthly health checks help keep a site fast and working, but keyword research, new content and rankings work are quoted separately or handled through managed SEO.
